VUSAF Union of Assistance for Schools in Afghanistan and its partner organisation Afghanistan-Schulen welcome you and would like to present our joint projects here in English. The German version you can find here:
Verein zur Unterstützung von Schulen in Afghanistan e.V.
Above: The students of this school in Mazar-e-Sharif are studying in very bad conditions. Some are inside rented rooms, others study outside. Their parents and other community people have already obtained some land and built a wall around it.
Now we can pass the good news that we managed to obtain the funds for the construction of a new school building with the support of our private donors and the German tax payers through the Ministry of international Cooperation and Development.
We are very sad to announce that the founder of our committee Mrs Ursula Nölle died on 8 September 2019 at the age of 94. She had been sick for a while but was keeping in touch with the projects in Afghanistan regularly. She had hoped to see her friends in Andkhoi again, but this was not possible due to health reasons (for further information please see here).

President Frank-Walter Steinmeier awarded Marga Flader - head of the board of Aghanistan-Schulen e.V. - with the Cross of Merit 1st Class of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for her great efforts in supporting girls and boys in Afghanistan. Prime Minister Daniel Günther presented the award on the 26 February 2019 in Kiel.

We are pleased to announce that construction is nearly completed for another Women Centre in Khancharbagh. We are grateful to our donors, many of whom are private citizens who want to help Afghanistan but also the German "tax payer".
